How to apply for a Visa

  • At the Cambodian Embassy in India at W-112 Greater Kailash Part II 110048 New Delhi India, you can directly connect and apply for your Cambodia eVisa.
  • Get an eVisa before you start travel. Visit the official website of the embassy or consulate, complete the visa form with the necessary details. Pay the visa fees using your credit card and submit the application. (EVisa only applies for tourist visas, sightseeing, casual trips, medical treatment for short duration and short business visits)
  • On arrival at the Cambodia International Airport in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap International Airport, get a Cambodia Visa.

Please note* Indian passport holders have been able to obtain a visa upon arrival at Cambodia International Airports since 2016.

Types of Visa to Cambodia

Most visa types fall under two main categories, i.e. short-stay visa and long-stay visa.

  • Short Stat Visa:This kind of visa allows you to stay in Cambodia for up to 30 days, whether you’re traveling to Cambodia for tourism, medical treatments, short business trips, friends and relatives, or a visitor. Upon paying additional administration fees, this visa can only be extended once for another 30 days.
  • Long-stay visa: This visa allows you to stay in Cambodia for 30 days or more to visit the country for business, work or even study purposes. Such visas can be extended for 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months at a time.

Cambodia Visa Application Process.

You will need a valid passport, visa and other relevant documents if you want to travel to Cambodia.

The following are documents that you need to apply to Cambodia for a standard tourist visa.

Documents needed for Visa on arrival

  • Your original passport
  • The passport must be valid from the date of your arrival in Cambodia for at least 6 months.
  • A copy of confirmed return flight tickets.
  • Signed Visa application form.
  • A cover letter explaining the purpose of your travel and a daily itinerary of your stay. Should include information on your airfare, accommodation and booking details, or a letter of invitation from the individual or entity concerned.
  • Photograph of a recent passport size 4 x 6 cm on a white background. It has to be a colored photo on a white background, where the face is clearly visible, and you look straight ahead. It will not accept photos with cloudy, full or decorative backgrounds.
  • An original copy of the last 3 months ‘ bank statements and your credit card statement, which can be considered evidence that you can live in Cambodia. Otherwise, be sure to show at the airport visa counter at least $500 in cash.

Documents required for eVisa

  • A scanned passport copy valid for 6 months from Cambodia’s planned arrival date.
  • Your photo’s scanned and digital format that must be less than 1 MB. BMP, PNG, or JPEG image formats are suitable.
  • A credit card for online payment of visa fees.
  • It takes 2 to 3 business days to receive the e-Visa for Cambodia. once the application is submitted online.

How much does a visa to Cambodia cost?

The cost of applying for a visa on arrival is USD 30 and USD 37 for eVisa when you are traveling from India.

A tourist visa is valid for 90 days from the date you obtain it, but you can only stay in Cambodia for 30 days at a time.

How to Apply an eVisa

  • Go to the official website of Cambodian e-Visa or the website of Cambodia Immigration
  • Sign up an account. This account will work for all e-Visa applications made now or in the future as your primary account.
  • Complete the application form with the following details: name of the applicant, address, country, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number, nationality, passport details, passport issuance date, passport expiry date, visa type, port or entry border, and date of entry to Cambodia.
  • Submit your passport and photo scanned. Click on the button “next.”
  • To ensure that all the information are correct, review the document.
  • Use your Visa or MasterCard to pay for visa fees.
  • Click on submit and wait until after 3 days the authorities will send a notice.
  • Take a print of it once your e-Visa get approve and you receive it on your email address.

* Remember, when you arrive in Cambodia, get your e-Visa stamped with your passport.
